I read it, and I wanted to share it with you ASAP.

Personal Development

As always, to be able to be a true success in one's life, one has to be ready for it and one also has to be inline with one's beliefs, thoughts and feelings...

I have been interested in my own personal development for years but lately had "lost my way" so to speak while the day to day things caught my attention... and I began to feel yuck and not connected to my life, like someone else was running it... and low andbehold, I came across a wonderful site that has helped me, in the last 3 days, get myself back on track and now I am more focused on my personal development than ever.

Steve Pavlina is an amazing man and I encourage you to check out his website and see for yourself... he gives all of his content freely and I have yet to find a site with as much content as his that actually rings true.

Enjoy.

Building a list... make money from it

I have just read a fantastic post in my favourite online marketing forum, the Warrior Forum, that I felt I had too mention here because it is such a great idea!

When most of us are starting out, we are building our lists, as they say, the money is in the list, and initially it can be quite hard to make any money and you might also not want to approach your list so early on and "scare them off"!

Here is the quick method that Warrior user "imabigboy" posted about today:
  1. Set up a blog, either use blogger (free) or host wordpress
  2. Add Adsense to your blog
  3. Set up a lead catcher page and allow people to opt-in
  4. Keyword research
  5. Use an autoresponder like Aweber
  6. The key - send out an email to your list that mentions you have updated your blog...
The key to making this work is to blog at least once a day so that your list is getting an email from you once a day also telling them you have updated your blog. You can do this within Aweber or whichever autoresponder you are using.

That's it. I think it's a great idea and while you won't see massive income, you will see a good, steady increase and if you can set up say 20 blogs all with a small list, you could be making a nice, tidy sum each month...

Take care

Online Investing... scam or helping hand?

I don't know about you, but I have come across my fare share of investment scams on the internet... it is so easy to part with money online these days that you could potentially spend all your savings looking for that elusive payout that will help you achieve your dreams...

I have been burnt many times and after losing a considerable amount to PIPs and losing some of my families and friends money... of course through no fault of my own, but you still feel responsible when you introduce someone to something online, that is why it is so important to do your own due diligence and I have done this many times and still been wrong!

So, my new rule, stick to what I know, and leave online investing alone.

Of course, there are always going to be opportunities that come your way that you think might be a good option... my other rule, only part with $50 and test it... and that seems to be working very well. Never part with your hard earned savings. It's not worth the risk.

So, with all of this in mind, here is something to do some due diligence on and with a small entry fee of $39.95 and that's it... I thought why not? It was recommended to me by someone who is full-time in the investing online business so I trust her judgement. And, I understand how it works; having a background in insurance and investment, I can see that this is quite a viable idea... we will see how it pans out. I don't really care, $39.95 is small pennies compared to what I lost in PIPs!!

Unrealistic goals... or bad thinking?

I recently came across a post in a forum I belong to that was discussing how there seem to be so many of us trying to make millions of $$ in short periods of time... and at what expense. The person suggested that there were lots of people out there trying to achieve say $1 million in 90 days, at all costs, ie, doing whatever it takes to get there... giving the impression that you would be neglecting family, friends, health etc to achieve this.

While I feel this is quite a valid point, there are plenty of us that do this, but this is generally because a clear goal has not been set or the person has what I call "stinkin thinkin", they want to achieve this goal and go about working towards it, but they think they can't do it, so they just keep going around in circles, believing that they have to put in long hours, sacrifice family time etc to get there.

In the end, money is NOT everything, but it does help pay the bills and you need to have a good attitude towards money so that you aren't beating yourself up every month that you have not made millions!

My point? Thoughts become things... choose the good ones. For every negative thought you think, you need to replace it with three positive... that is how "strong" negativity is. I am no stranger to negative thinking, we all have it, but I am aware of it now and the minute I think it, it is squashed with a blast of positive thoughts.

If you think you can make a million in 90 days, go for it, I know you can do it. Just make sure that you remember your family, friends, health and obligations... it is all about balance. There is no point working your butt off to loose your family, friends and health and be left with material things... this will not make you happy for very long. Love, happiness and support are what we need to survive.

Wishing you all the best

Blogging.... the new IM phenomonen?

There is so much other there at the moment about blogging... how to make money from it, what plugins to use, what software to use... it all gets a bit much sometimes!

In my experience, you have to try a couple of different services to find the one that works for you. Or maybe a few will work for you.

I am currently trialling Wordpress hosted, not their free one and it is quite good, has some amazing plugins to help monetize your blog/website....

I am finding that the key to making money from blogs is how many you have and how you monetize them.... and without having to maintain them as well!

I will keep you posted as to how I get on... the plugins can take a bit of "fiddling" to get right and once I have them down pat, I will let you know how you can start making some money using a blogging system.

Take care

$15K Challenge... all over?

If you have been following Dan's 15k challenge, you will know that he didn't quite make it... final figures are not in but it looks like he only got to $11,000 - but how fantastic is that?!

If you have no idea what I am talking about, check out the link below and read all about it. The whole idea was to make $15,000 in 30 days from $150... I think he did a damn fine job of getting what he did, don't you?!

Am waiting now to find out who wins the site he created!
